Skills for Care, the sector skills council for the Adult Health & Social Workforce in England has advised that the Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England (SASE) framework will launch around the middle of May 2011 and will then be listed on the Learning Aim Database (LAD). The SASE compliant framework can be accessed using the following link:http://www.skillsforcare.org.uk/qualifications_and_training/apprenticeships/16+providerinfo.aspxThe SASE compliant framework should appear shortly on a National Apprenticeship Service and Skills Funding Agency (SFA) spreadsheet update. Until the SASE framework appears on this spreadsheet with confirmation of when the SFA will start to fund the SASE Framework, the old blueprint framework issued in January 2011, will be funded and learners should be registered on this framework. The updates can be accessed using the following link:http://www.apprenticeships.org.uk/Partners/SASE/Implementation.aspxThe current blueprint framework number 236, version 7.5 issued in January 2011 can be accessed using the following link:http://www.skillsforcare.org.uk/qualifications_and_training/apprenticeships/16+providerinfo.aspxCheck the LAD before completing any new registrationsWe will advise you of any further updates from the SFA when they are issued. However, we suggest that before you complete any new registrations we would advise you to check that the qualifications are definitely showing as funded on the LAD.
