BTEC Firsts are level 2 qualifications that allow learners to develop knowledge and understanding by applying their learning and skills in a work-related context. They have a clear progression route to a level 3 course, vocational or academic, or to an apprenticeship.
New BTECs for the next generation of level 2 learners
Our new suite of BTEC First qualifications, available to deliver from September 2012 & 2013, reflects this ethos and builds on the recommendations outlined in the Review of Vocational Education – The Wolf Report (March 2011) – which confirmed the importance of a broad and balanced curriculum for learners.

Our BTEC Level 2 Firsts, that have been available for first teaching since 2010, are still fully accredited and available to deliver.
