IT
Information Technology has fundamentally changed both the way that we live our lives and the way in which business is conducted. In terms of the percentage of the population who are web users, the UK is second only to the Nordic countries in Europe. The technology sector plays a significant role in the UK economy, generating over £35 billion of Gross Value Add (GVA) and employing over 1.5 million people, with over one in twenty of the UK workforce an IT professional.
