Britain’s construction sector employs 2.1 million people in more than 250,000 firms, making it one of the country’s largest industries. It is also one of the most diverse, spanning everything from installers and subcontractors to organisations central to the design, build, operation and refurbishment of buildings.
Pearson is recognised for our range of qualifications available from level 1 to level 7, across a wide range of specialist disciplines, from Labourer to Skilled Craft Worker, Technician and Site Supervisor to Senior Manager. We are one of the few Awarding Organisations to be able to do this. It enables us to meet the varied skill training needs of large employers, FE colleges with big construction faculties and private training providers.
We also offer qualifications in the four main apprenticeship frameworks - Construction Building, Civil Engineering, Specialist and Technical / Professional, as well as other higher and specialist frameworks.
Within our BTEC's, Higher National Certificates, Diplomas and NVQa we offer pathways to professional body membership, including Institute of Civil Engineers and Chartered Institute of Building, who provide industry recognition of our qualifications, increasing the employment prospects of learners and recognising their achievement.
