Employability training 2014
Deloitte Employability Skills: practioners’ delivery courses
This updated two-day, face-to-face course is designed for lecturers and teachers interested in delivering employability skills.
The Deloitte Employability Initiative is a unique programme which is designed to:
- equip tutors with the teaching and learning techniques to deliver Deloitte's BTEC Level 2 in Employability Skills
- help learners gain the skills needed to stand out from their peers to secure and sustain employment.
The Deloitte Employability Initiative’s ethos is to immerse students in a businesslike environment that they may expect in work, for example with a dress code and rigid timekeeping. This training shows both how to deliver and use the resources effectively, but also the ethos that centres should embrace to gain maximum benefit for learners on it. Places are now open for annual training for centres wanting to offer this course and qualification.
When and where?
- Manchester: 3 to 4 June 2014
- London: 11 to 12 June 2014
The two-day residential conference designed by Pearson and Deloitte offers:
- training and advice on delivering practical employability skills as part of a vocational course
- an extensive set of free delivery support materials
- opportunities to network with colleagues
- evidence of CPD development.
This course forms part of the Deloitte Employability Initiative. Once delegates have completed the course they can use the exclusive Deloitte resources to deliver the BTEC Level 2 Award/Certificate in Employability Skills. The Deloitte programme will help learners gain the skills and confidence needed to stand out from their peers to secure and sustain employment in today’s competitive job market.
The Deloitte resources are mapped to the nine-credit Employability Skills Award which uses six mandatory WorkSkills units. Learners can achieve a 13-credit Employability Skills Certificate by completing any four additional credits from the WorkSkills suite. Both qualifications give learners a Deloitte co-branded certificate.
