Intraining

The Customer

Intraining is a national training provider operating out of a network of offices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It enjoys longstanding relationships with employers, funding bodies and other training providers across the UK.

Intraining works across a range of sectors, from retail to engineering. It works closely with employers from industries that have a demand for labour, and works with learners to improve their chances of securing employment.

Intraining has been awarded Grade 1 - ‘outstanding’ - provider status (by Ofsted), Beacon status, and is accredited to the Matrix Excellence Standard, demonstrating that Intraining provides an innovative and excellent education service.

The Challenge

Intraining was seeking an educational service provider that could offer a complete package of qualifications, technology and support.

To support its diverse sectors, Intraining required a wide range of qualifications at different levels, including NVQs and Apprenticeships.

Most importantly, Intraining wanted to form a partnership with an educational service provider that could provide personalised support, a dedicated account manager and the flexibility to expand its qualifications portfolio.

The Solution

Intraining partnered with Pearson Work Based Learning, and was provided with a range of Edexcel qualifications.

Intraining opted for Edexcel qualifications including BTECs, BTEC Apprenticeships, BTEC Advanced Apprenticeships, NVQs, functional skills and Foundation Learning. These qualifications are delivered by 125 assessors to more than 5,000 learners.

The Outcome

Intraining is very satisfied with the high standard of Edexcel qualifications and excellent level of support.

Jacqueline Oughton, Head of Quality of Quality Standards and Risk at Intraining, commented: “Edexcel has given us excellent support and guidance. From the responsive account management, high quality external verifiers and advanced technology, to the clear pricing structures and flexibility in delivery of the qualifications, everything has been excellent.

“Through Pearson Work Based Learning, we were able to improve our achievement rate to 79 per cent, which should reach 85 per cent by the end of this year. This success rate contributed towards improving our Ofsted inspections, leading to an outstanding Grade 1 rating. This high quality standard helps us to bring in new business.

“We recommend Edexcel qualifications to other companies because of the flexibility, excellent account management, very good pricing structure and their ability to respond to individual needs,” concluded Jacqueline Oughton.
