The GCE O level Human Biology syllabus aims to give candidates an understanding of the scientific principles of modern biology through the study of humans. This is gained firstly by a study of enough structure and function to enable candidates to appreciate how the human organism maintains itself, and secondly by studying human relationships with other animals and the dependence on plants, to learn how humans can best modify their environment and habits to produce healthy conditions for present and future populations. |
