The NVQs Levels 3-4 in Policing are being replaced by a new-look qualification as the initial, mandatory training for the police force. The new qualification - the Level 3 Diploma in Policing (QCF) - is on the QCF rather than the NQF and is available from 1st February 2010 when it replaces the L3 and 4 NVQs.
Skills for Justice, the SSC, has taken this decision following consultations with the sector and revision of the underpinning standards (NOS).
Documentation is currently being produced and will appear on this page in due course. For further information, please view the Level 3 Diploma in Policing: Qualification Summary.
