The NVQ in Playwork is aimed at individuals working in or seeking to gain employment in out-of-school work, including after-school or breakfast clubs and seasonal holiday clubs. They may be working as playworkers or assistant playworkers, or as children’s holiday representatives. The qualification, which covers work with children aged 5 to 14, is also suitable for those wanting to work in children’s centres or children’s services. There are three levels (2, 3 and 4), and the level will depend on the job role.
