BTEC Nationals from 2007 | Central and Local Government

The public sector is the UK’s largest employer and includes central and local government, educational establishments and a host of public corporations. Students completing the BTEC Level 3 National Award in Central and Local Government can go on to a university degree or Foundation Degree in an appropriate vocational discipline, to BTEC HNCs or HNDs, or - if working in the sector - to an appropriate NVQ. They could also enter employment in an operational role or in an office-based role supporting central and local government.

The BTEC National Award in Central and Local Government was replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 3 Certificate and Subsidiary Diploma in Public Services from September 2010. Find out more
