Forestry and arboriculture is a key part of the land-based sector and includes areas such as woodland management, professional tree care and research and education. Students completing the BTEC Level 3 National Award, Certificate and Diploma in Forestry and Arboriculture can progress to employment or to a university degree in an appropriate vocational discipline, or - for those working in the sector - to BTEC HNCs and HNDs or Foundation Degrees.
The BTEC Nationals in Forestry and Arboriculture were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 3 Certificate, Subsidiary Diploma, Diploma and Extended Diploma in Forestry and Arboriculture from September 2010. Find out more
