Fish management encompasses fish breeding and production, recreational fisheries management and allied industries such as retailing, wholesaling, research and education. The BTEC Level 3 National Award, Certificate and Diploma in Fish Management are designed to provide progression to employment, to a university degree or Foundation Degree in an appropriate vocational discipline, or to BTEC HNCs and HNDs. 

The BTEC Nationals in Fish Management were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 3 Certificate, Subsidiary Diploma, Diploma and Extended Diploma in Fish Management from September 2010. Find out more
