The UK construction industry employs over two million people, including highly skilled support workers as well as those directly involved in building. Students completing the BTEC Level 3 National Award, Certificates and Diplomas in Construction, Building Services Engineering and Civil Engineering can go on to a university degree or Foundation Degree in an appropriate vocational discipline, to BTEC Higher National qualifications (HNCs and HNDs), or to employment.
The BTEC Nationals in Construction, Building Services Engineering and Civil Engineering were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 3 Certificate, Subsidiary Diploma, Diplomas and Extended Diplomas in Construction and the Built Environment from September 2010. Find out more
