The broad area of manufacturing engineering offers opportunities for technician level entrants with a grounding in engineering techniques to contribute to a wide range of occupations within the industry. The BTEC Level 3 National Certificate and Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering are designed to provide a spur to individuals to progress to an HND or HNC, Foundation Degree or degree programme in an appropriate vocational discipline.

The BTEC Nationals in Manufacturing Engineering were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering from September 2010. Find out more
