A diverse range of skills is involved in the mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering disciplines, and skills gaps exist within these rapidly developing technologies. For those with the expertise and background knowledge, there is potential for a rewarding career. Students completing the BTEC Level 3 National Certificate and Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering can go on to a university degree or Foundation Degree in an appropriate vocational discipline, to BTEC Higher National qualifications (HNCs and HNDs), or to employment.

The BTEC Nationals in Electrical/Electronic Engineering were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 3 Diploma and Extended Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from September 2010. Find out more
