Communications and telecommunications technology is a complex global industry that encompasses a wide range of cutting-edge technologies and techniques – from electronics to computer systems, and from communications equipment installation to risk assessment. Students completing the BTEC Level 3 National Award, Certificate and Diploma in Communications Technology can go on to a university degree or Foundation Degree in an appropriate vocational discipline, to BTEC Higher National qualifications, or to employment.
The BTEC Nationals in Communications Technology were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 3 Certificate, Diploma and Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles from September 2010. Find out more
