Author Biographies

Brian Arnold was Head of Physics at a grammar school in North Yorkshire before moving to an 11–18 comprehensive school in the Midlands. He was Head of Science for over 20 years and was then an examinations officer for all internal and external exams at the school. He has written in excess of 50 books since 1980, ranging from KS3 to A-level in Science and Physics. His books have included textbooks, practical books, revision guides and question books. He has also been series editor for several publications.

Penny Johnson studied Aeronautical Engineering and worked in industry for 10 years before taking a PGCE course and becoming a Science teacher and then Head of Science. She is now a full time author, and has co-authored several bestselling series for Pearson, including Exploring Science.
