IGCSE 2009 - Changing the learning landscape

The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (International GCSE) is a level 1 and level 2 international qualification that prepares students for academic and vocational study at level 3, including progression to GCE AS or A levels, BTECs, the International Diploma or employment.

Edexcel International GCSE qualifications are:

• Relevant and academically rigorous
• currently available in 39 subjects
• recognised as equivalent, grade for grade, to a UK GCSE, and have the same status in terms of university entry requirements.

Recognised around the world by employers and educators, many International GCSEs have a distinct international element. Our specialists have developed subject content to make it more relevant to students worldwide.

Please note:
The titling of the Edexcel IGCSE qualification (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) has changed to Edexcel International GCSE to emphasise the true nature of these international qualifications. Please note that the qualification type has not changed.
