The Edexcel International GCSE in English Language is designed as a two-year course offering an alternative to Edexcel’s GCE O level and GCSE in English. This specification includes some features of the GCSE, such as the breadth of reading and writing required and the possibility of both written and oral coursework. The reading requirements of the course are covered in the Edexcel (London Examinations) Anthology, for use throughout the course and in the examination.
