International GCSE from 2003 | Information and Communication Technology
This page is for reference only, as the legacy International GCSE from 2003 specification is no longer suitable for teaching. It has been replaced by our updated International GCSE from 2009 specification.

IGCSE in ICT

The International GCSE in ICT combines elements of both Edexcel’s GCE O level in Computing and the GCSE in ICT. It aims to encourage the exploration and study of Information and Communication Technology in a variety of contexts: home, community, business, industry, recreation and education. Students will have the opportunity to acquire competence, ability and critical skills through the implementation, use and evaluation of ICT systems, and can develop their interest in, enjoyment of, and critical reflections about ICT as an integral part of modern society.
