The Edexcel International GCSE in History is designed as a two-year course that allows students to study the main themes and periods of the history of the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure of the specification allows teachers to create their scheme of work according to the needs of students and the resources available. Centres may, for example, opt for an international approach; alternatively, they may choose to concentrate on one area of the world.
