We're pleased to announce that The Edexcel Certificate Level 1/Level 2 in Geography (International GCSE for UK schools) has been accredited. The accredited specification and sample assessment materials are available below.



The Edexcel Certificate Level 1/Level 2 in Geography (International GCSE for UK schools) is on the DfE list of recognised qualifications that count towards the English Baccalaureate.

The Edexcel Certificate in Geography will be available for teaching from September 2012, and first assessment will be June 2014.

The Edexcel Certificate in Geography aims to engage students in the process and concepts of geography and enable them to use geographical skills, appropriate technologies, enquiry and analysis. It also provides an opportunity for them to apply their learning to the real world through fieldwork and other out-of-classroom learning.
