DfE announcement on performance tables from 2017
In July 2014, the DfE announced the qualifications which will count in 2017 performance tables. The announcement means that current arrangements for recognising level 1/level 2 Certificates will end with the introduction of reformed GCSEs, with last recognition summer 2016. Our Level 1/ Level 2 Certificate in English Literature is suitable for delivery in schools and colleges and aims to provide an enjoyable and stimulating introduction to English literature. Drawing from the key features of the International GCSE English Literature qualification, it offers a selection of prose, drama and poetry from around the world, allowing teachers to select from a wide choice of set texts. Results for this qualification will be recorded in school performance tables in 2014, 2015 and 2016. This information will be updated each year upon publication of the Key Stage 4 Performance Tables.
