International Advanced Levels from 2013
Edexcel International Advanced Levels from 2013

Our Edexcel International Advanced Level is an international alternative to our Edexcel Ofqual-regulated A level qualifications. This new suite of qualifications, regulated by Pearson, has been written to the highest standard, with the global learner in mind.

Edexcel International Advanced Level qualifications are not available to centres in the UK, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. Additionally, British Armed Forces schools based overseas are not able to make entries for these qualifications.

Edexcel International AS qualifications

The Edexcel International AS qualifications contain half the content of an Edexcel International Advanced Level. Learners can either study AS as a stand-alone qualification or as a stage on the way to completing an Advanced Level. This gives them the opportunity to study a broader range of subjects at AS before deciding which subjects to take forward to A level.

GCE A level reforms do not apply to IAL qualifications

The UK Department for Education (DfE) and Ofqual have confirmed that there will be reforms to GCE A level specifications taught by UK and international schools, resulting in new qualifications with first teaching from September 2015.

Please note that these reforms do not apply to Edexcel IAL qualifications. IALs will remain modular with examinations in January and June.
