Helping you achieve better results in GCSE ICT
ResultsPlus is our free online tool that offers you unrivalled insight into exam performance. You can use this valuable service to see how your students performed according to different criteria that you select at cohort or individual student level.
As a teacher of our new GCSE in ICT, you'll have access to a comprehensive range of analysis and reports to help you target improvement. From the first exam session in January 2011, you'll be able to access:
- exam analysis for a detailed understanding of how students performed on each question
- skills maps linking exam performance back to areas of the specification.
You can view these reports by year group, by class or by individual student, all with helpful comparison data to help you understand how your students fared against students across the nation. When your students reach the end of the course, you'll also be able to see grade reports showing their achievement by gender, or in relation to the national cohort and schools of your type.

ResultsPlus reports can help you to shape your schemes of work, making planning easier and saving you time. ResultsPlus also helps you to create personalised programmes of learning to benefit students looking to resit particular units. Centres have told us that ResultsPlus is invaluable for spotting topics that students have particular difficulty with.
ResultsPlus is easy to access and will save you time
On results day, you have instant access to your students' results, and the data is analysed for you. You can review these reports onscreen, print them or export the data into spreadsheets, allowing you to create your own reports.
At cash-in time, our 'gradeometer' helps you see how close students are to grade boundaries. You can use this tool to establish whether retaking a particular unit will help raise student attainment. With centre approval, students can also access this feature.
Student books designed to support ResultsPlus
To help you improve results, we have added to our student textbooks a wealth of ResultsPlus activities, tips and advice based on real performance data and combined with examiner insight from our unique ResultsPlus service.
This will help to warn you of common pitfalls and show students what needs to be included in top-scoring answers, so that they know what examiners want.
