We know that good help and advice matter more than ever when delivering a brand-new qualification. That's why we have put together a first-class support package. We have a great team of people on hand to advise and guide you. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to introduce our brand-new qualification, whilst helping you raise achievement in English in your school.
English Subject Advisor
We have introduced a new Subject Advisor service to support all our English GCSE and A level qualifications. Led by the new Subject Advisor, Lionel Bolton, this service is designed to help solve your queries that relate to our English qualifications, as well as providing a means to share ideas, information and concerns.
The service also offers all teachers of English the opportunity to discuss and share English-related issues, such as what the new 2010 GCSE specifications have to offer.
Lionel will also be providing support via the English Community forum (see below for details), and via the English subject page.

English Community forum
Our online English forum provides you with an opportunity to speak to other teachers, raise concerns and ask advice. Whether you have questions about the new specifications, controlled assessment or set texts, you can use our English forum as a means to find out more. You can also read documents and use links that Lionel Bolton, the English Subject Advisor, has posted.
If you are an existing Edexcel centre, you can use the site to help with your planning and teaching of our current English qualifications, and make use of materials posted on the site. You can also provide us with feedback as to how we can improve our qualifications, our support and our services. Visit the English Community forum
'Getting Ready to Teach' events
Our training events are a great way to meet members of our English team. The team will be attending events in your area over the next 12 months and will be on hand to answer your questions and respond to the latest developments.
