From the spring term, we will be hosting Getting Ready to Teach events. These full-day sessions are aimed at teachers who will be delivering the new GCSE English, English Language, English Literature and Digital Communication specifications from September 2010.

During the day you will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about our total English GCSE package and how it will help you achieve better results for all your students
  • Explore the impact of the changes to the specifications – including the incorporation of functional elements into GCSE English and GCSE English Language
  • Understand the assessment implications, with a focus on the new controlled assessments and how our sample assessment materials will help you prepare for the exams and controlled assessments
  • Explore delivery strategies applicable to the new specifications
  • Address common issues and frequently asked questions.

All events are free of charge.

(Further dates in June, July and October will be advertised shortly, along with our additional online training events.)

Event times: English Language events run from 10:00 to 12:30, and English Literature events run from 13:30 to 16:00, enabling you to attend both events on the same day at the same venue.

GCSE Digital Communication events and GCSE English events are full-day sessions running from 10:00 to 16:00.
