Local network meetings with a senior moderator. We will hold controlled assessment local network meetings where you can meet senior languages moderators face to face and network with other language teachers from your area. Look at real examples of students’ work, mark the work for yourself, and then talk through the marks with the senior moderator.

Stage 2 – Delivering controlled assessment ensures that your issues are addressed as and when they arise, practical help is on hand when you need it, and you have a network of colleagues with whom to share questions and ideas.

Stage 3 – Assessing controlled assessment ensures that you can mark each student’s assignments confidently and accurately.

Student exemplars with senior moderator commentary to explain the standard (or marks) achieved. You will have access to these exemplars by unit from the beginning of the academic year in which that unit is first assessed, so that you can mark with confidence. These will be made available on Edexcel Online.
