The GCSE 2012 linear French specification for first teaching in September 2012 (for two-year courses) is also available below. The main changes are:

• No content change to the specification
• Linear assessment structure: exams are taken at the end of the course
• Units only available in summer exam series
• Controlled assessment conducted at any time but submitted at the end of the course.
