The GCSE 2009 modular History Modern World specification without SPaG is available to download below, and has a final assessment window of June 2012.
 
The GCSE 2012 History Modern World specification is also available to download below. This includes SPaG, for all assessment windows from January 2013 onwards, and sets out the linear requirements for first teaching in September 2012 (for two-year courses) and first assessment in June 2014.

The main changes are:

• Additional marks for spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG) from January 2013
• Linear specifications for two-year courses starting in September 2012
• Linear assessment structure: all exams taken at the end of the course
• Units only available in the summer exam series.
