For our GCSE from 2009 in Applied Business, we have introduced a new single award for students who choose to complete only two units, giving flexibility for all levels of learning. The external assessment has been replaced with two shorter exams, making the assessment structure more accessible. The modular structure allows students to ‘bank’ their success and resit individual units to gain the best mark they can.
