Edexcel is the only awarding body to offer a GCSE in Arabic. Designed to assess speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, it covers a variety of topic areas.

Final examinations for this specification took place in 2010. This subject has been replaced by a new specification developed for first teaching from September 2009.
