Taking a thematic approach to geography, Edexcel's Geography A GCSE features separate human and physical themes in core units and optional units which consider the interrelationships between people and the environment.

Final examinations for this specification took place in 2010. This subject has been replaced by a new specification developed for first teaching from September 2009.
