Following a period of consultation and review, we confirmed to all pilot centres in November 2007 that the GCSE Construction and the Built Environment pilot will be phased out.

The last opportunity to start teaching a two-year GCSE course will be September 2008 (September 2009 for a one-year course), with last examinations in June 2010. Re-sit arrangements for 2010/11 will be available to centres on request.
