Designed to encourage and reward independent learning, Edexcel’s Vocational GCSE in Business (Double Award) is a work-related qualification equivalent to two GCSEs. It comprises three units: ‘Investigating Business’ and ‘People and Business’, both assessed internally and giving centres the opportunity to forge links with local businesses, and ‘Business Finance’, assessed externally.

Final examinations for this specification took place in 2010. This subject has been replaced by a new specification developed for first teaching from September 2009.
