Edexcel’s GCSE in Applied Art and Design is a work-related qualification aimed at developing students’ practical art and design skills and techniques through working on design briefs.

Final examinations for this specification took place in 2010. This subject has been replaced by a new specification developed for first teaching from September 2009.
