Edexcel’s GCSE in Applied Art and Design is a work-related qualification aimed at developing students’ practical art and design skills and techniques through working on design briefs. Students will gain experience of a wide range of techniques and associated equipment and technology used for general and specialist work. They will also study the work practices of individuals and small businesses and, through creative experimentation with media and materials, learn how meaning is created and communicated.
