MP3 listening files will be available on the relevant subject page of the Edexcel website 24 hours before the examination. When the examination date falls on a Monday, the listening file will be available on the preceding Friday.

Downloading listening material on MP3 players:

• The downloading of listening material onto a centre’s MP3 player either from Edexcel’s secure extranet site or from a listening examination CD, can now occur up to 24 hours before the published starting time of the listening examination. When the examination falls on a Monday, centres may download the material on the preceding Friday.

Digitising listening material onto a centre's network:

• For the purpose of digitising the listening material onto a centre’s network, centres may now have access to the confidential listening material up to 90 minutes before the published starting time of the examination.

NB: If a centre is NOT transferring material from a CD onto individual MP3 players (or digitising the material onto a computer network), the regulation that the package containing the listening CD must not be opened until 60 minutes before the published starting time of the examination should be followed.
