Available from 2012, our GCE AS in Global Development is designed to promote a knowledge and understanding of international development and the issues that will shape our world in the 21st century. It gives learners the tools they need to become active participants in local, national and international debates and activities.
 
Students will use the knowledge they gain to analyse and propose solutions to key challenges and develop a deep understanding of:
 
• the contested nature of global development
• the key concepts involved in the subject area and the areas of action within which development occurs
• the extent of interconnection between the nature and roles of global organisations.
