More about our Applied Health and Social Care GCE
In a work-related context, learners will develop skills that will enable them to make an effective contribution to the care sector, including research, evaluation and problem-solving skills. Students may apply their learning to their choice of contexts: health, children’s services, care of older people or individuals with specific needs.
Ideal for those who enjoy creating project-style work and investigating real situations, this course will help develop students’ understanding of the diverse and complex nature of the health and social care sector. Learners will study either three, six, nine or 12 units, and the majority of the work is assessed through coursework.
Research, evaluation and problem-solving skills may be applied to the students’ choice of contexts, including health, early years (care and education), care of older people and care of individuals with specific needs.
