Key features:
- Assessments will be on-demand, internally marked and externally verified.
- Operationally, they are similar to existing Entry Adult Literacy and Numeracy (ALAN) and current Entry Level ICT qualifications.
- Candidates will be able to claim a single certificate for each registration.
- It forms part of the Foundation and Learning Tier (FLT).
- Results contribute to School and College Achievement and Attainment Tables (SCAAT).
- English will have three components (Speaking and Listening, Reading, and Writing) at each level, which must all be passed for a candidate to achieve certification.
- ICT will consist of an onscreen test and a centre authentication document.
- Maths will have a single test at each level.
