Following feedback from customers, we're making some changes to the quality assurance processes for our Entry Level ALAN and functional skills qualifications.

These will take effect from 3 September 2012.

Quality assurance
From September 2012, our Standards Verifiers will visit your centre once per year. The time of this visit will be arranged between our Standards Verifier and your centre’s Lead Internal Verifier. 

This visit will cover:

• an audit of your centre’s internal verification system
• security of assessment material
• external verification of assessment material.
 
Please note that the reintroduction of centre visits means that you're no longer required to submit a Centre Declaration Form.

Your Standards Verifier will also be carrying out postal sampling during the academic year.

Allocation of Standards Verifiers
Please note that you will not be allocated a Standards Verifier until 1 November 2012.  If you have assessments which urgently need to be externally verified before this date, please contact the functional skills assessment team at fsassessment@pearson.com.
