We have developed an Initial Assessment Tool (IAT) to provide a simple way of helping teachers and tutors to screen a learner's existing skills and give an indication of their functionality in functional English reading and functional mathematics from Entry Level 1 up to Level 2. It can also be used as part of Information Advice and Guidance practice.
