Learners must complete the self-assessment unit at the start of their studies and complete the career progression unit at the end of their studies.

Learners gain the other required number of credits from completing units in other vocational qualifications, where they will develop their skills and knowledge in a vocationally related context.

Centres have the opportunity to deliver a variety of units to suit the needs and interests of their learners, perhaps using the units as tasters for further study or employment options.
