N.B. Following a recent government decision there are two live specifications for Level 1 Travel and Tourism - the 2009 specification and the 2011 specification. Please note the 2011 specification is funded for post-16 learners only. Both of these are available to download below.

Our new qualifications for BTEC Level 1 Travel and Tourism have been accredited on the QCF for teaching from September 2011.
These new qualifications will run alongside Edexcel's existing Travel and Tourism qualifications from 1 September 2011.
From August 2012, the 2009 specification will be extended for use in 2012-13.

These qualifications have been designed to help learners understand the skills and knowledge needed to work in the travel and tourism sector and to develop practical skills in preparation for employment or progression in education.
Centres are encouraged to offer industry visits and guest speakers to give learners a better understanding of the employment opportunities available and the importance of further study.
