We’ve designed the BTEC First (NQF) qualifications to provide learners with:
- an understanding of how organisations in the Performing Arts industry operate
- the key skills required to work in the industry, including the flexibility to follow an endorsed pathway in any one of the following: performance, acting, dance, production or musical theatre
- key concepts and principles related to the world of Performing Arts.
Retaining many of the characteristics from the existing BTEC Level 2 Firsts in Performing Arts (QCF), this new suite of Level 2 qualifications will provide a broad, solid foundation for progression to Level 3 and employment in the Performing Arts sector. They will inspire and enthuse learners who already enjoy performing arts and would like to further their skills, knowledge and understanding of one of these strands, with a view to progressing to further study and a career within the sector.
