Some eight million people can boast a BTEC qualification, including some of the UK's most eminent business people, athletes, designers, film-makers, actors, musicians and chefs. As Dame Marjorie Scardino, Pearson CEO (until December 2012), says,
"Many of those people have told us that BTECs played an important role in their progress, and we thought it might be good to celebrate that, and to encourage others to see that there are different ways of learning and different routes into some of our society’s most important careers."
