The BTEC Level 2 First Certificate and Diploma in Media are designed to introduce learners to working in the sector or prepare them for further study, such as a BTEC National qualification or an appropriate NVQ. Just a few examples of areas in which media students can go on to work are animation, computer games, corporate production, film, interactive media, photo imaging, publishing, radio and television.

The BTEC Firsts in Media were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 2 Certificate, Extended Certificate and Diploma in Creative Media Production from September 2010. Find out more
