Many varied opportunities exist within the equine sector, in areas including horse racing, studs, pony trekking, stabling and exercise yards and other related environments. The BTEC Level 2 First Certificate and Diploma in Horse Care are designed to introduce learners to working in the sector or prepare them for further study. Specialisms could include riding, horse behaviour and welfare, and horse preparation and presentation.

The BTEC Firsts in Horse Care were replaced by the QCF-accredited BTEC Level 2 Certificate, Extended Certificate and Diploma in Horse Care from September 2010. Find out more
