| CYQ and Edexcel – Empowering students for a career in health and fitness
CYQ (Central YMCA Qualifications) is working with Edexcel to provide specialist health and fitness qualifications as part of the Edexcel Diploma in Sport and Active Leisure. Students electing to take their additional and specialist learning through CYQ will be able to enter the active leisure sector with a highly respected and sought-after qualification from the UK’s leading health and fitness awarding body. |

Mutual recognition of qualifications
CYQ and Edexcel are also working together to mutually recognise selected qualifications.
Students achieving passes in the right combination of units of the Level 3 BTEC Nationals in Sport and Exercise Sciences need only undertake the practical assessment for the CYQ Level 2 qualification, bypassing the exercise and fitness knowledge theory assessment. Conversely, CYQ candidates can use their theory assessment achievement as evidence towards Level 3 BTEC Nationals.
