Through completing the Principal Learning, learners will:
- investigate the hospitality industry in the UK and abroad
- explore the importance of the hospitality industry to the UK economy and everyday lives
- carry out customer service tasks in a healthy and safe hospitality environment
- develop their team-working, managing people, communication, problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills
- learn how to prepare, cook and serve food and beverages
- acquire an understanding of sales and marketing concepts, business and financial principles relevant to the hospitality industry, and legislation and procedures which affect the hospitality industry.
